Are you a skilled and driven Occupational Therapist seeking opportunities for professional advancement?

In this role, you will play a vital part in health and autonomy by delivering top-tier occupational therapy assessments and interventions. Additionally, you will provide clinical leadership, supervision, and consultation to our multidisciplinary team.

Your expertise will be crucial in demonstrating specialised knowledge and skills in areas such as occupational engagement, environmental adaptation, and the cultivation of skills necessary for meaningful participation. Experience in managing a designated caseload, conducting assessments, devising interventions, and assessing outcomes aligned with care plans is essential.

You will also benefit from support from a regional network of healthcare professionals.

Your duties as an Occupational Therapist will include:

  • Effectively communicating with clinicians, managers, directors, service users, caregivers, stakeholders, and agencies.
  • Providing compassionate leadership to junior staff, including support personnel and assistants.
  • Facilitating occupational therapy student placements.
  • Supporting junior staff in completing appraisals and personal development plans.
  • Developing and implementing relevant policies, protocols, and care pathways.

To succeed as an Occupational Therapist, you will need:

  • A qualification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Extensive post-qualification clinical experience in adult services.
  • Proficiency in applying occupational frames of reference and approaches.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical reasoning.
  • Specialised knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models.
