Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry for an established private hospital based in Cheshire.
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:
This role is a full-time permanent position and you will be working in a specialist female hospital. You will provide care and treatment for adult women with a wide range of mental health issues, responsible for delivering care programmes, managing physical and mental health concerns and providing individualised approaches to the care and treatment of people admitted to the hospital.Services provided include Medium, Low Secure and Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU) for women, over the age of 18, with personality disorder and mental illness.
The treatment approach at the hospital is rehabilitation and recovery dictates that care is ‘person-centred’ as opposed to ‘disease-centred’.
The site is very spacious with extensive patient living and activity areas as well as external grounds.
Responsibilities:
- Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
- Active role in service and development activities
- Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
- Taking clinical responsibility for patients
- Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
- Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
- Take part in medical related audits
Job Requirements:
- GMC with a licence to practise
- CCT/Specialist Registration with the GMC
- Approved Clinician status
- Section 12 approval
- MRCPsych
- MBSS qualification
