Locum Community Consultant Psychiatrist in LD

Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant Community Psychiatrist in Learning & Disability to work within an NHS service in Merseyside.

Job Description:
This role is a full-time Locum position based in Merseyside. You will be working in an inpatient Community Adult LD service for patients with mental illness.

Key responsibilities:

• 2 or 3 days (Tues-Thurs) one clinic each day
• Outpatient clinics, visits, CPAs, team discussion and meetings. MOJ reports if needed and RC work if applicable.
• Support at present from Cons 1 day per week and also some SAS input.
• Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
• Active role in service and development activities
• Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
• Taking clinical responsibility for patients
• Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
• Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
• Take part in medical related audits.

Job Requirements:

• GMC with a licence to practise
• Approved Clinician status
• Section 12 approval
• MBSS qualification
