Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS

Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS to work within an NHS service in Oxfordshire.

 Job Description:

This role is a full-time Locum position based in Oxfordshire. You will be working in an inpatient CAMHS service for patients with mental illness.

The consultant would be expected to:
a)      Assess new cases and  manage their case load working with other clinicians in the team.
b)      Support and develop evidence based practice and evaluation within the team.
c)      Support team members with cases through consultation and joint working.
d)      With other senior team members, lead and develop the team within a trust that is committed to compassionate leadership.
e)      Liaise effectively with other services and agencies (education and social care)
f)       Manage mental health crises including use of the mental health act where appropriate.
g)      Support and enable appropriate admission and discharge of patients from inpatient units.
h)      Work with colleagues in the acute hospitals
