Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult to work within an NHS service in Middlesborough.
Job Description:
This role is a full-time Locum position based in Middlesborough. You will be working in an inpatient Adult service for patients with mental illness.
Key responsibilities:
- Input into assessment and management of complex psychiatric presentations, risk management , RC duties , senior clinical leadership , supervision for trainees
- Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
- Active role in service and development activities
- Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
- Taking clinical responsibility for patients
- Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
- Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
- Take part in medical related audits
Job Requirements:
- GMC with a licence to practise
- Approved Clinician status
- Section 12 approval
- MBBS qualification
