Locum Speciality Doctor in Adult

Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Locum Speciality Psychiatrist in Adult to work within an NHS service in Lancashire.

 Job Description:

This role is a full-time Locum position based in Lancashire. You will be working in an inpatient Adult service for patients with mental illness.
Assessing and managing male psychiatric inpatients under the supervision of the Consultant. To provide support to the resident doctors and the wider team in managing patients. To assist the consultant with the Mental Health Act-related paperwork

Key responsibilities:

• Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
• Active role in service and development activities
• Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
• Taking clinical responsibility for patients
• Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
• Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
• Take part in medical related audits.

Job Requirements:

• GMC with a licence to practise
• Approved Clinician status
• Section 12 approval
• MBBS qualification
