Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in Old Age to work within an NHS service in Romford with an immediate start (Mon-Fri) at 9am-5pm.
Job Description:
This role is a full-time Locum position based in Romford. You will be working in an inpatient Adult service for patients with mental illness.
Review and manage patients in the Older Adults Mental Health Team. There will be sessions in both Memory and CMHT both in outpatient clinics and in patients' homes, also to provide clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team. Supervision of junior doctors.
Skills/Experience:
Experience at consultant level in the field of Older Adults Mental Health, possession of MRCPsych and CCT in adult psychiatry Section 12 approved.
Key responsibilities:- Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
- Active role in service and development activities
- Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
- Taking clinical responsibility for patients
- Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
- Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
- Take part in medical related audits.
Job Requirements:
- GMC with a licence to practise
- Approved Clinician status
- Section 12 approval
- MBBS qualification
