Join as a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join the in-house Clinical Team. The students have Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to support their needs in cognition and learning, communication and interaction, physical and sensory development, and social, emotional, and mental health. The team employs neurodivergent affirming and trauma-informed approaches to aid students in their learning journey.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a speech and language therapy caseload.
- Contribute to staff training, consultation, and reflective practice with the support of our experienced Clinical Team.
- Utilise a therapeutic approach to make informed decisions and manage your workload effectively.
About You:
We are looking for a resilient and enthusiastic individual with a passion for helping students succeed. You should have a therapeutic mindset and the ability to work independently.
Essential Criteria:
- Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree
- Valid and up-to-date HCPC Registration
- Registered member of RCSLT
- Previous experience (paid or voluntary) in a trauma or complex needs setting
- Clear and concise report writing skills
- Full UK driving license with access to a car
- Experience with complex communication issues related to autism, including language disorders, dyspraxia, sensory impairment, learning disabilities/difficulties, and associated challenging behavior
- Experience in multi-professional work within specialist settings is preferred. Newly qualified candidates are welcome to apply.
