The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at a Supported Living service in Stoke On Trent. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of people dealing with mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered support to adults in a mental health setting.
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and social interaction.
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining independence and life skills.
- Work closely with the nursing team to ensure each patient's care plan is effectively implemented.
- Promote a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
- Offer emotional support and companionship.
- Participate in regular training and professional development activities.
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and professional standards.
Requirements
- Experience in a mental health or care setting is essential.
- Valid PMVA/MAPA Certificate is Essential.
- Strong understanding of mental health issues and the needs of female patients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
