Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Forensic Psychiatry for an established private hospital based in Essex.
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:
This role is a full-time permanent position and you will be working in a Male LSU. The hospital is a provider of low secure forensic services for men over the age of 50. Care is provided over two wards, both of which are 13 bedded male units and offer an age appropriate environment for those who also have a mental health/personality disorder and/or dementia, in need of physical health care needs. With cutting-edge facilities and a team committed to excellence, we are at the forefront of mental health care, ensuring the best outcomes for our patients.Responsibilities:
- Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
- Active role in service and development activities
- Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
- Taking clinical responsibility for patients
- Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
- Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
- Take part in medical related audits
Job Requirements:
- GMC with a licence to practise
- CCT/Specialist Registration with the GMC
- Approved Clinician status
- Section 12 approval
- MRCPsych
- MBSS qualification
