Description

Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry for an established private hospital based in Nottinghamshire.
 
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:

This role is a full-time permanent position and you will be working with a caseload of 16 across the Rehab and Acute services. The hospital is a combination of low secure wards and a rehabilitation ward area (also within the low secure perimeter) provide a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering patients in their recovery and rehabilitation prior to discharge. Our on-site facilities include large and attractive en-suite bedrooms, disabled facilities, secure courtyard and garden, patient café, gym, salon, and activity hall. 

They have celebrated successes with complex patients via the training of all staff and the implementation of the Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) model. 

Low Secure Unit: wards offer personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways, including a trauma specific pathway, for women with complex care needs. 

Specialist Rehabilitation: ward offers a psychology-led, trauma-informed rehabilitation service for women with mental health problems, complex needs and those who have been diagnosed with a Personality Disorder (PD). 

Acute Service: 2 wards provide an acute inpatient service for women aged 18 years and over. The aim of the service is to provide a stabilising environment working with individuals in periods of crisis and acute phases of their mental illness in the least restrictive way. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
  • Active role in service and development activities
  • Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
  • Taking clinical responsibility for patients
  • Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
  • Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
  • Take part in medical related audits

 

Job Requirements:

  • GMC with a licence to practise
  • CCT/Specialist Registration with the GMC
  • Approved Clinician status
  • Section 12 approval
  • MRCPsych
  • MBSS qualification
