Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Consultant Psychiatrist in Forensic, Rehabilitation OR General Psychiatry for an established private hospital based in Lancashire.
Job Description:
This role is a full-time permanent position. The hospital provides low secure and rehabilitation and recovery services to 90 male patients. We exclusively treat NHS patients and work closely with our NHS colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and the development of a therapeutic milieu
- Fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician to patients.
- You must hold a CCT, or equivalent, in Forensic Psychiatry, General Adult Psychiatry or Rehabilitation Psychiatry
- Contribute to management meetings and clinical governance meetings for the services provided at the hospital, and contributing to the development of service strategy.
- Contributing to in-house training programmes within the services and offering supervision to other members of the multi-disciplinary team, particularly junior medical staff.
- Maintain CPD and re-validation requirements, as determined by the Royal College of Psychiatrists or other relevant statutory bodies
Job Requirements:
- Full GMC registration with specialist registration in psychiatry.
- Extensive experience in Forensic psychiatry.
- Strong knowledge of Clinical Governance and adherence to regulatory frameworks.
- Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check, provided by Suttons Manor.
- The post holder will hold a CCST / CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant areas of Psychiatry and will have experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties.
