Description

Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult and Neuropsychiatry for an established private hospital based in South Wales.
 
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:

This role is a full-time permanent position, will be working in full MDT which provides care for individuals within core patients groups of:

  • Dementia
  • Huntingtons Disease
  • Korsakoffs Syndrome
  • Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
  • Organic Personality Disorder

Responsibilities

  • Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
  • Active role in service and development activities
  • Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
  • Taking clinical responsibility for patients
  • Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
  • Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
  • Take part in medical related audits

Job Requirements:

  • GMC with a licence to practise
  • CCT in General or Old Age Psychiatry
  • Approved Clinician status in Wales
  • Section 12 approval
  • MRCPsych
  • MBSS qualification
