Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry for an established private hospital based in the West Midlands.
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:
This role is a full-time permanent position and you will be working in a Female Rehabilitation service. The hospital is a 24 bedded community facing rehabilitation hospital for women over the age of 18You will be part of a well-established and cohesive multi-disciplinary team which includes a; Speciality Doctor, Principal Psychologist, Senior Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Registered Mental Health and Learning Disability Nurses, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Ward Manager and Recovery Support Workers.
The hospital also has strong links with other surrounding hospitals within the region, providing the opportunity to network with other Consultants from different specialisms and service lines as well as obtain supervision and support from the Regional Medical Director.Responsibilities:
- Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
- Active role in service and development activities
- Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
- Taking clinical responsibility for patients
- Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
- Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
- Take part in medical related audits
Job Requirements:
- GMC with a licence to practise
- CCT/Specialist Registration with the GMC
- Approved Clinician status
- Section 12 approval
- MRCPsych
- MBSS qualification
