Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Rehabilitation Psychiatry for an established private hospital based in Berkshire.
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:
This role is a part time (6 sessions/22.5hrs per week) permanent position and you will be working for a 12 bed male Recovery & Rehab ward, but there will be some cross covering with other consultants looking after an 18 bed acute mixed ward. They will lead a Multi Disciplinary Team and work in close liaison with the referring agencies. The role includes teaching and the supervision of medical and clinical staff. The Consultant will be supported by a Specialty Doctor and receive supervision from the Medical Director who is based at the same hospital. Rehab and Recovery provision within the organisation is supported by a Clinical Network which provides support and guidance to the team and facilitates meetings, therefore, the successful candidate will be expected to attend some of the meetings off site.Responsibilities:
- Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
- Active role in service and development activities
- Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
- Taking clinical responsibility for patients
- Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
- Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
- Take part in medical related audits
Job Requirements:
- GMC with a licence to practise
- CCT/Specialist Registration with the GMC
- Approved Clinician status
- Section 12 approval
- MRCPsych
- MBSS qualification
