Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Director & Consultant Psychiatrist in Rehabilitation Psychiatry for an established private hospital based in Hampshire.
 
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:

This role is a part time (30hrs per week) permanent position and you will be working in a Male Rehabilitation service. The hospital is a leading provider of mental health services dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Their facility offers a comprehensive range of treatments and interventions for individuals with complex mental health needs. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with a variety of psychiatric disorders. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, where your contributions will directly influence patient outcomes and service development.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
  • Active role in service and development activities
  • Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
  • Taking clinical responsibility for patients
  • Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
  • Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
  • Take part in medical related audits

 

Job Requirements:

  • GMC with a licence to practise
  • CCT/Specialist Registration with the GMC
  • Approved Clinician status
  • Section 12 approval
  • MRCPsych
  • MBSS qualification
