Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in Old Age Inpatient/Liaison

Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in Old Age Inpatient/Liaison to work within an NHS service in Lancashire.

Job Description:
This role is a full-time Locum position based in Lancashire. You will be working in in the inpatient Unit when Consultant is on leave. 4 days inpatient, 1 day hospital liaison for patients with mental illness. Must be able to work 5 days onsite.

Key responsibilities:
• Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
• Active role in service and development activities
• Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
• Taking clinical responsibility for patients
• Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
• Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
• Take part in medical related audits

Job Requirements:
• GMC with a licence to practise
• Approved Clinician status
• Section 12 approval
• MBBS qualification
• MRCPsych (if desirable)
