Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our clients team at leading acute hospital in London. This is an ongoing locum role, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide psychological assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients in acute hospital settings.
Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and other evidence-based approaches.
Work collaboratively with medical and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Develop and implement psychological care pathways and interventions tailored to the needs of patients in acute settings.
Offer psychological support to patients and their families, addressing emotional and psychological challenges related to hospitalization.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to case discussions.
Provide training, supervision, and support to junior staff and trainees.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent).
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Proven experience in working with a caseload in NHS or private sectors, preferably in acute hospital settings.
Strong knowledge of psychological assessment and treatment methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
