Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry for a new private hospital based in North Essex.
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:
This role is a full-time permanent position and you will be working in an inpatient Adult Acute service.Consultant Psychiatrist with experience of working with people in inpatient settings who may be treated under the Mental Health Act and are interested in providing treatment for women and men who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental disorders
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will take on RC responsibility for the hospital. The RC will have the support of a non-consultant grade doctor as well as Lead Consultant Psychiatrist.
You will play an active role in supporting clinical governance processes and contribute towards the successful development of the service.
Responsibilities:
- Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
- Active role in service and development activities
- Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
- Taking clinical responsibility for patients
- Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
- Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
- Take part in medical related audits
Job Requirements:
- GMC with a licence to practise
- Approved Clinician status
- Section 12 approval
- MRCPsych
- MBSS qualification
