Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry for an established private hospital based in Bristol.
 
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:

This role is a part time (8 sessions/30 hours per week) permanent position and you will be working in a 10 bed Female Acute ward. The hospital, a private hospital with 77 beds over seven wards varying from Eating Disorders, Acute Mental Health, Adult Psychiatric Intensive Care, Acquired Brain Injury, Huntingdon’s and Dementia.

This is an employed post to take consultant responsibility for general psychiatry on their 10 bedded female acute inpatient ward, working with patients coming to the hospital from referrals from the NHS.

The ward has a Multidisciplinary Team including a Speciality Doctor.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
  • Active role in service and development activities
  • Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
  • Taking clinical responsibility for patients
  • Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
  • Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
  • Take part in medical related audits

 

Job Requirements:

  • GMC with a licence to practise
  • CCT/Specialist Registration with the GMC
  • Approved Clinician status
  • Section 12 approval
  • MRCPsych
  • MBSS qualification
