Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry for an established private hospital based in Surrey.
 
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:

This role is a part time (6 sessions/22/5hrs per week) permanent position and you will be working across their Acute and LSU. The hospital is a large purpose-built forensic and acute service with good facilities. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, split between acute and low secure you will provide care and support for adult men 18+ and enduring mental health illnesses such as personality disorder, substance misuse issues and behaviours that challenge.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
  • Active role in service and development activities
  • Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
  • Taking clinical responsibility for patients
  • Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
  • Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
  • Take part in medical related audits

 

Job Requirements:

  • GMC with a licence to practise
  • CCT/Specialist Registration with the GMC
  • Approved Clinician status
  • Section 12 approval
  • MRCPsych
  • MBSS qualification
