Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Eating Disorders for an established private hospital based in Glasgow.
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:
This role is a full-time permanent position and you will be working within Eating Disorders. The private hospital is a 35 bedded service spread across 3 wards. This vacancy is to work on a 12 bedded ward.This is a consultant role in eating disorders (ED) is dedicated to providing clinical leadership and high-quality clinical care for patients referred to and using the eating disorders services at the hospital. The consultant will work closely within a multidisciplinary team to diagnose, treat, and manage eating disorders in inpatient setting by ensuring patients receive holistic, person-centric care and treatment adhering to the organisation principles. The consultant will contribute to the development and implementation of service delivery plans and policies, and will play a key role in training and supervising junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals. with multi-disciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
- Active role in service and development activities
- Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
- Taking clinical responsibility for patients
- Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
- Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
- Take part in medical related audits
Job Requirements:
- GMC with a licence to practise
- CCT/Specialist Registration with the GMC
- Approved Clinician status
- Section 12 approval
- MRCPsych
- MBSS qualification
