Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for an established private hospital based in Worcestershire.
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:
This role is a full-time permanent position and you will be working with a caseload of 16.As a Specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, you’ll know how to best help the twelve young people with eating disorders in our care (plus 4 additional day service users).
Working 37.5 hours a week over 4 or 5 days alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will be the clinical expert from a medical perspective to ensure best practice care is delivered whilst supporting the team. You will also work collaboratively with NHS clinicians and commissioners.
The hospital is a small, friendly and established CAMHS Eating Disorder service, nestled in the Worcestershire countryside, with a team that works well together and supports each other - which offers compressed hours flexibility, working a day from home per week and a relocation package of £8,000.
Responsibilities:
- Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
- Active role in service and development activities
- Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
- Taking clinical responsibility for patients
- Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
- Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
- Take part in medical related audits
Job Requirements:
- GMC with a licence to practise
- CCT/Specialist Registration with the GMC
- Approved Clinician status
- Section 12 approval
- MRCPsych
- MBSS qualification
