Here at Staff Partners Mental Health, we have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist in Neuropsychiatry for an established private hospital based in Bedfordshire.
Job Description and Key Responsibilities:
This role is a full-time permanent position and you will be working in a Neuro specialist hospital. As an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist, you will have expert knowledge of working with survivors of an acquired brain injury, individuals with neurodegenerative conditions with potentially co-morbid mental illness and complex physical health conditions. Patients at the Unit can be detained under the Mental Health Act, supported via Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards or as an informal patient. Referrals are taken from many sources including psychiatric hospitals, prisons and the courtsResponsibilities:
- Lead an MDT of Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, OT and Specialty Dr’s
- Active role in service and development activities
- Participate in Governance and Service Line meetings
- Taking clinical responsibility for patients
- Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician
- Supervising the process of referrals and admissions
- Take part in medical related audits
Job Requirements:
- GMC with a licence to practise
- Neuropsychiatry experience essential
- CCT/Specialist Registration with the GMC
- Approved Clinician status
- Section 12 approval
- MRCPsych
- MBSS qualification
